This collection is influenced by the fascinating culture of the Dong people, an ethnic minority group in China known for their dyeing techniques and silver metalwork. Historically, the Dong have settled in villages along the streams and woods of southwestern China.
I have migrated between different countries and cities throughout my adult years. As I spent more time abroad away from my native China, I came to realize the cultural richness of my own background and began to                    explore the unique local cultures.
                I have a deep respect for the clothing

                of ethnic minorities, especially that

                of the Dong. In my work, I sought a

                hybrid approach to combine their

                artisanal traditions with techniques                  in contemporary mediums.
